Glass

Glass is primarily made from sand (SiO2 silica), along with an alkali and limestone (sodium carbonate CaCO3). Colors are introduced through various additives: cobalt for blue, copper for red, nickel for shades of blue, violet, or black, and titanium for yellowish-brown hues. A cloudy or opaque effect can be achieved by incorporating fluorine (from fluorospar CaF2) or phosphates, which form crystalline particles within the glass. Remarkably, glass is 100% recyclable and can be endlessly modified for various applications, maintaining its quality without deteriorating, corroding, or fading. It’s a safe and durable material for building, capable of enhancing the architectural character of your home.

Advances in technology have enabled the use of innovative forms such as curved glass, glass bricks, and entire facades of glass. The glass used in our double glazed windows and doors not only meets the aesthetic demands of designers but also serves as a structural load-bearing element. These advancements contribute significantly to the manufacture of energy efficient windows and UPVC double glazed windows in Sydney, providing stylish, durable solutions for modern construction.

Low E Glass

Low E Glass

Window glass was revolutionized in the 1970s with the introduction of insulated glass (two or more pieces of glass with an air space between) and the debut of Low-E glass in 1979. The "E" stands for Emissivity.
Laminated Glass

Laminated Glass

Laminated glass is composed of a layer of Poly Vinyl Butyral (PVB) sandwiched between two or more glass panes. This structure not only maintains the geometric integrity of the pane upon impact but also provides excellent acoustic insulation.
Toughened Glass

Toughened Glass

Tempered glass, also known as safety glass, is renowned for its enhanced strength and safety features. This type of glass is crafted through a thermal tempering process where normal annealed glass is heated to its softening point and then rapidly cooled.
Tinted Glass

Tinted Glass

Tinted glass is a popular choice in residential and commercial buildings due to its ability to reduce heat gain and carbon emissions, albeit with a slight reduction in visible light transmission. High-performance, low-e, or spectrally selective tinted..
IGUnit Glass

IGUnit Glass

Double glazing refers to the process of creating an Insulated Glass Unit (IGU), which involves two or more lites of glass separated by an air gap and hermetically sealed to form a single unit. This air gap significantly enhances the thermal performance..
Float Glass

Float Glass

Approximately 90% of the world's flat glass is manufactured using the float glass process, a technique developed in the 1950s by Sir Alastair Pilkington. In this method, molten glass is poured onto a molten tin bath at one end, where it floats, levels out
